FamilyBoost: get up to $1,560 back each quarter

If your household earns under $57,286 a quarter (about $229,000 a year), you can get FamilyBoost from Inland Revenue to help with your ECE fees. The lower your household income, the more you get back: up to 40% of your fees, to a maximum of $1,560 a quarter (about $120 a week).

You claim it through myIR after you have paid your fees. Check if you can get it on the IRD website, or ask us and we will help.

Here is what care at Lilliput Preschool costs, and the support that can bring it down. Every whānau is different, so ask us for your exact fee.

“$ -” means there is nothing to pay for those hours.

There is a one-off enrolment fee of $100, payable when you book. It is non-refundable and covers a named sunhat, a wet bag, and reserving a space for your tamaiti.

20 hours ECE subsidy (3 to 5 year olds)

The After 20 Hours ECE columns above show your fee once the subsidy is applied. It is for tamariki aged 3 to 5 and covers up to 6 hours a day and 20 hours a week. You will need to sign an attestation form, and we will help you with this. For the hours covered by the subsidy we ask an optional charge of $2.00 an hour.

Work and Income Childcare Subsidy

You may also be eligible for the Childcare Subsidy from Work and Income. Check on the Work and Income website.
